Life Path 7 and 7 Compatibility
Tradition: Pythagorean numerology. A tradition, not a forecast. Numerologists read it this way; the evidence does not.

Life path 7 and 7 are a natural match on one popular reading of Pythagorean numerology: two of the same number, in the 1-5-7 group, and the 9 x 9 grid our calculator uses gives the pair a grid score of 85%.

Life path 7 and life path 7 are the two inputs here. To open this pair in the calculator, or to try two other numbers, use the numerology calculator, pre-filled with 7 and 7. If you do not know your life path numbers yet, enter two birthdays and try your birthday match; the result shows both numbers and both sun signs.
How does the 9 x 9 grid read life path 7 and 7?
One popular way to read life path pairs sorts the nine numbers into three groups, 1-5-7, 2-4-8 and 3-6-9, and treats numbers in the same group as natural matches. Not every numerologist uses it: numerology.com, for example, lists matches number by number and rates 3 with 6 as a difficult pair. Our grid uses the three-group reading and says so.
Life path 7 and life path 7 share one number, and 7 sits in the 1-5-7 group. Our grid places every same-number pair at one fixed value, a little below two different numbers of the same group. The method box on this page states that rule with its figures.
The groups come from Pythagorean numerology as one tradition of practice teaches it. Joy of Numerology calls them "concords" and describes them as "harmonious". Healing Sounds names 1, 5 and 7 the Individualists and ties them to independence and freedom. For two 7s, as the next section shows, a publisher that ignores the groups arrives in a similar place.
Does every numerologist rate life path 7 and 7 the same way?
Not every numerologist, but numerology.com agrees on this pair. Numerology.com, one of the largest numerology references, does not use the three groups; it names 4, 5 and 7 as the best partners for a 7. So a second 7 is on its best list, even though its list also leaves out 1 and adds 4, both departures from the groups. Each numerologist publishes its own table, and ours is one stated rule that a numerologist has not yet reviewed.
How do life path 7 and 7 do in love, marriage and friendship?
All three come from one cell, because the grid reads two life path numbers and nothing else about the two people.
How does numerology read two life path 7s in love?
On the grouping view, two 7s are two Individualists, and Healing Sounds describes that set as prizing independence and freedom. A pair of 7s shares that value in full. Numerology.com's list, which puts 7 with 7, points the same way here. It remains a tradition many people find meaningful, not evidence about the two of you.
Can a life path 7 marry another 7?
Yes. Numerology rates pairs; it does not forbid them, and the grid gives life path 7 and 7 the same verdict for marriage that it gives for love. Some numerologists add one more step for marriage: the wedding date. That step is explained in the marriage step in numerology. No number can say whether a particular marriage will last.
Can two life path 7s be good friends?
Yes. The grid keeps one cell for life path 7 and 7, and the grouping view does not treat friends differently from partners, so the verdict at the top covers friendship. For a 7 paired with a 6 instead, see life path 6 and 7 compatibility.

How we calculate it
- Each birth date is added up and reduced to a life path number from 1 to 9. The master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are noted and then reduced for the table.
- The two life paths are looked up on a 9 by 9 grid.
- Every cell of that grid comes from one rule: the same number scores 85; two numbers in the same group score 95 minus how far apart they are; numbers in different groups score 71 plus that distance when they are 3 or more apart, 62 when they are 2 apart and 45 when they are 1 apart.
- The distance is measured the short way round the nine numbers.
- The grouping 1-5-7, 2-4-8 and 3-6-9 is one popular reading, not the only one, and the table is our own and has not been checked by a numerologist.
The full rule, in plain words and in pseudocode, is on the methodology page.
