Every result on LoveCalculator.love is a game, a tradition or a self-reflection tool; none is advice, a prediction, a forecast or an assessment of any relationship.
This page is the short form of the terms: what a result here is, what it is not, and where real help is.
Are LoveCalculator.love results advice?
No. LoveCalculator.love results are not advice of any kind.
Every result on this site is for entertainment or self-reflection. None of them is advice, a prediction, a forecast, or an assessment of you, another person or a relationship.
No page on this site gives relationship, psychological, medical, legal or financial advice. Contributors are not acting as your therapist, counsellor, astrologer or adviser.
Which tools carry which label?
Every scored tool carries one of three labels: Game, Tradition or Research-informed. The table lists the tools that are live today under each label, and a tool joins the table in the release that ships it.
| Label | Tools | What a result is and is not |
|---|---|---|
| Game | The name calculator, the Love Tester, FLAMES, the crush calculator and the name compatibility test | Game tools return a number from a fixed formula on letters or answers. The same letters always give the same number. The number has no meaning beyond the game. |
| Tradition | Zodiac compatibility and the love calculator by date of birth | Tradition tools apply the rules of a named tradition. We describe each tradition as its practitioners hold it. There is no evidence that birth dates or names predict how two people get on, and we do not claim there is. |
| Research-informed | The love language test and the couple compatibility quiz | Research-informed quizzes count your answers against a published framework and state how strong the evidence for that framework is. They are self-reflection tools. They cannot assess your relationship, diagnose anything, or replace talking to your partner or to a professional. |
Every formula and every label is set out under how we calculate every compatibility score.
Where can you get help in a crisis?
Help in a crisis comes from your local emergency number, and from the lines below; not from this site. If something in your relationship is worrying you, talk to someone you trust.
If you are worried about your safety or someone else's, please contact your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline). In the United Kingdom, Samaritans are on 116 123 and Refuge on 0808 2000 247. This site is a set of games and explainers; it is not a place to get help, and we would rather you got help.
Some pages carry affiliate links, disclosed on the page and listed in our advertising and affiliate disclosure. We earn a commission if you buy through them; we do not guarantee any partner's service.
We correct verified errors within 72 hours, as our editorial policy sets out. The full terms are on the terms page.
