A note on December 22 birthdays

On most calendars this is a cusp date: December 22 already carries about 94 percent of itself into Capricorn, at 0.0 to 1.9 degrees on day 1 of Capricorn's 29, while the remaining 6 percent is the day after Sagittarius' last day on most calendars, at 29.5 to 30.0 degrees. Taurus or Virgo paired with Capricorn earns 8 points, a strong match, the same figure Sagittarius gets from Aries or Leo. Astrologers read Capricorn as a sign that needs steadiness and a shared plan, so a cusp partner may lean toward commitment even while some Sagittarius openness lingers.
